Sundhet is a Swedish word that can be translated many ways: good health, promoting health, and in addition stability, firm and steady, and even soluble.
The approach to creating the Sundhet concept within your business is akin to bamboo. It’s durable, strong and supportive yet yields to changes in its environment with flexibility and firmly planted roots.
Several years ago while attending a ‘train the trainer’ session, I was introduced to the concept of incorporating the five elements into one’s leadership role.
The idea is simple; the elements of wood, fire, earth, metal, and water seemingly oppose each other yet when paired in the right proportion, create balance and harmony. The duality in nature needs to be nurtured within us. We need the yin and the yang, the positive and the negative, and both strength and weakness to move us forward.
This philosophy has led me to the decision to dig up my roots in New York City where my spa career blossomed and plant them in my home state of Minnesota for my next stage of growth.
With this concept in mind, my approach to express Sundhet is in my photography.
